Events for the 2026 season

Terry Fox Ride of Hope / June 27 2026 / Sudbury, ON

The Terry Fox Ride of Hope is a Canada-wide cycling event to raise money for cancer research. The Sudbury Cycling Club organizes a local Sudbury ride.

For the third year in a row, we are pleased to announce the dates for the Sudbury cycling Club Terry Fox Ride of Hope as Saturday June 27 and, in case of inclement weather, Sunday June 28 as back up. This is a great opportunity for Sudbury cyclist and non-cyclists to show their support for cancer research and the Terry Fox Foundation.

This year, we will start again from Walmart South End Sudbury at 9am sharp. Please be there at 8:45 to register and be ready. We will also have an option this year for some to start at Gladu Road, main group will meet you there at 9:30.

We are planning to run two groups with ride leaders. We will have a 60 km group from Walmart to Estaire and back and a 100 km group from Walmart to Estaire and then to highway 17, Wahnapitae and back to Walmart. Please note that this year’s our group speed will average about 25-28 km per hour, so plan your day accordingly. Once again, this year’s ride will be fully supported by the Sudbury Cycling Club. Each group will have a ride leader, and rest and refreshments stop.

This event does not require an SCC membership to participate.

Tour De Force / September 5 & 6 2026 / Manitoulin Island, ON

The Tour de Force series brings together cyclists from all walks of life to pedal with purpose, remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Through unity, respect, and determination, we ride to ensure their legacy lives on.

Proceeds collected from the rides will be donated to the Survivors of Law Enforcement (SOLE), the Ontario Police Memorial Foundation, and the Ontario Provincial Police Youth Foundation.

This event is NOT organized by Sudbury Cycling Club but is well-participated by it’s members.

Beacon Ride / Date TBD / Sudbury ON

Beacon is a yearly bike ride event that supports riders and their families during difficult times with the goal of providing a light for those in need.

Beacon has been created through the help of The Rolling Circus, a Sessions Ride Co. cycling collective and team. The group is passionate about riding bikes, the community, and the people we call neighbors.

This event is NOT organized by Sudbury Cycling Club but is well-participated by it’s members.
